What is 4D?
4D stands for Degenerate Decentralized Deep Dive. The mission is to handpick certain nascent projects, emerging trends, opinions and events within the web3 space and give an opinion, easy-to-understand analysis and provide educational content.
The goal is not to promote, but rather give communities a deeper vision into the projects they support and provide insight from analytical, social and artistic viewpoints. Opinions will always vary, and 4D believes that in challenging stale opinions and introducing new viewpoints will ultimately help communities mature and project developers might gain from external inputs from independent parties.
4D also believes that every emerging space requires a methodical and educated approach to it — while many communities grew together with influencers, memes, gifs, LFGs, wen moons and WAGMIs, super technical whitepapers or difficult documentation intended for financial experts or developers — an easy-to-understand, direct, balanced approach would be extremely helpful to build a kind of a second layer for the community and hopefully spread vibes that promote critical thinking, call for education, research and inspire the community to build upon already given foundations.
Degenerate
The first D stands for Degenerate. Directly challenging popular opinions and norms was always the way to develop the space forward. Expect praises where praises are due, and harsh critics where necessary, no matter the public opinion. (however we will try to curate our choice to projects that mostly deserve praise and leave the critics to the unethical trends that might emerge)
We are all degenerates, paving way to a new future through innovation without fear of losing or challenging the norm. The early years of web3 are led by ‘degens’ and as such, we will always try to inject a bit of ‘degen’ blood in our views.
Decentralized
Web3 is the main topic here, and thus, as a big decentralized world luminary, 4D will focus on promoting and educating community about decentralized space.
Deep
Wen money? Wen moon? Wen pamp? Yes, 4D will answer those questions too, but more than that, it will try to change your questions to something more in the lines of: ‘Wen fun?’ ‘Wen value?’ ‘Wen satisfaction?’ We will try to share fundamentals of every project or trend we present that ultimately bring value to the space as a whole.
Dive
4D curates and dives into the core foundations of projects and trends. Our focus is not on the most mainstream things you see on CoinMarketCap or OpenSea. We will try to show you nascent projects you might not see otherwise, or give you a deeper understanding of projects you already love.
Now, most of you are asking, ‘Can you write about project XYZ?’ While we’d certainly love to write about every project in existence, time constraints force us to handpick a few cherries. We promise the cherries will be delicious and our integrity will never be broken. If you have an amazing relatively unknown project you want to present to us — by all means, get in touch! If we can fit it in, we’ll write about it. But please remember, we’re here to present things that we believe hold real value outside of monetary gains in the space.
